MBiol Biology

As part of my Biology Masters I will be working within the Field lab to explore the effects of elevated CO2 on barley yield, where symbiotic mycorrhiza lie on the parasitism mutualism scale and how carbon for nutrient exchange changes within different CO2 environments.

Ultimately, I am interested in the role arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi within sustainable agricultural practices.

This project is especially relevant to ensure food security for the growing population in a time of significant climate change.
